FLOOR FORT-100 is a two-component solvent free high build epoxy floor coating and it provides concrete floor surface excellent resistance to abrasion and protection against chemical attack. It’s a good ard-wearing floor coating at Food processing plants, manufacturing ,hospitals, warehouses, showrooms etc. It can be used for vertical and horizontal applications.Different grades of slip resistance can be achieved by inclusion of graded aggregate between coats.
Features
Application Procedure - Surface Preparation
The substrate (concrete) should be fully dry, clean and sound. Vacuum blasting is preferred Cracks should be repaired and should allow to cure. Surface irregularities must be ground down or filled out with FLOORFITREL or repair materials from ORGANIX. The substrate should be moisture free. After all preparation has been completed, ensure dust is removed from the surface. This is best achieved using an industrial vacuum.
Priming
If required, Prime the fully prepared surface with the given primer.
Mixing
Mix part A (resin) and part B (hardener) separately for 1 minute using a slow speed drill fitted with a paddle. Then add Part B in to Part A and mix well for 3 minutes to get even consistency.
Coating
Apply using quality brush or short nap roller ensuring surfaces are fully covered. After when the first coat get cured (24hrs), apply the second coat at right angles to the first with minimum thickness of 200 microns each coat.If Non –slip surface is required by broad casting FLOOR FORT Anti slip grain to FF 100 first coat whilst still wet. After drying the excess aggregate should be vacuum cleaned from the surface. The top coat can now be applied. Depending on the surface profile, type and density of the FF aggregate used, the top coat may consume more material than the base coat to achieve a fully sealed surface. The top coat must be applied within the maximum over coating time period i.e. 36 hours at 25°C or 24 hours at 40°. Expansion joints in the existing substrate floor must continue through the FloorFort coating. Contact your local BASF representative for advise on ORGANIX SealFlex sealants.
Cleaning of Tools
Clean all the tools and equipment with solvent based epoxy cleaner immediately after the use.
