DRYBITUMEX R650 is a rubberized bituminous waterproof and dampproof coating with good thyxotropic performance provides an effective monolithic air, vapor and water proof membrane when applied to most construction surfaces. DRYBITUMEX R650 cures to a tough monolithic, highly flexible seamless rubber-like membrane with good adhesion to almost any solid substrate. Cold-applied by brush, roller, trowel or spray.
Joint less membrane when it cures.
Tough rubber-like – flexible, elastomeric and damage resistant.
Single component-cold applied and ready to use
Excellent adhesion to most building substrates
Efficient curing membrane to newly placed concrete
Can be applied on damp substrates
Excellent resistance against chemicals (Chloride, sulphate ions, acids and alkalis)
Environmentally friendly, cold applied – no flame hazard.
Health Friendly and non-hazardous.
Prevent fungal growth
Dual advantage of curing as well as protection of concrete
Excellent resistance to all types of chemicals ( Chloride and Sulphate ions )
Water based, Ultra low VOC and LEED comply.
Field of Application
Designed for multi purpose projects
Suitable for damp proofing below ground.
Water proofing /damp proofing of most substrates.
Provides an air, vapor and rain barrier to construction surfaces such as masonry, concrete, gypsum board and wood.
Protection of foundations, columns and beams.
Water proofing, vapor, air protection of structures ,retaining walls and facades
For use as an adhesive on wood blocks, wood mosaics, polystyrene insulation boards etc.
Waterproofing for interior, exterior walls and wet areas
Protection of concrete substructures, super structures and manholes from corrosive soil
Confirmation DRYBITUMEX R650 confirms to ASTM D1227, Type III, Class I and ASTM D3747, Type I standards and British standard BS3416 Type 1, BS 3690:Part 2 19189 “protection of buildings against water, vapor and air and damp proofing.
Application Procedure SURFACE PREPERATION All surfaces must be sound, clean and free from dust, oil or grease and other loose materials. Surface may be dump but there should not be any standing water and can be applied to fresh freshly cast concrete too. If requires, prime coat DRYPRIME SB will improve adhesion.
Application Prior to the application , stir the product well . Apply in two coats at a spread rate of 1-4m²/coat. The succeeding coats should be applied at right angles to the preceding coats. For best results allow each coat to dry then apply next prior to the surface becoming contaminated. If subsequent coats are applied to 'non-cured' coats, inter-coat bubbling may result. The coverage depends upon the substrate, application method and project requirements.
Tools: Application may be by brush, roller, or airless spray.
Brush: Suitable for small areas and flashings. Use a synthetic bristle brush.
Roller: Recommended when coating small areas. Use a smooth roller.
Airless Spray: 4000 psi min. ½” hose min. 0.025 to 0.039 inch orifice reversible tip.
Packing Available in 20 litre Pail and 200 Litre drum
